World in Balence

Our world’s population is constantly changing. China and India currently have the largest populations. Why do think they have the largest population?

Right now the population of the world is increasing at a very fast pace. Do you think the world’s population will increase or decrease in the next 50 years? Explain.

Our world is becoming more and more urbanized and more and more people are starting to live in cities. Do you think urbanization is a good thing? What are its pros and cons?

Most of the earth is covered by water but not a lot of that water can be used for our everyday use.
The scare of running out of water and contamination will be a big concern in the 21st century.
What are some ways we can save the water and keep it clean?

We need plants to survive. They turn carbon dioxide into oxygen, which we need to breathe. But lately, cars, factories, tractors etc. have been producing too much pollution and carbon dioxide. The world is now releasing more carbon dioxide then plants can convert.
Why is it important for people not to ignore the amount of pollution we produce?

Have you ever heard of global warming? I bet you have. Many people blame fossil fuel emissions and air pollutions for it.
Do you think global warming is true? Why or why not?

Experts notice that almost have the amount of plants and animals that were once on this earth are now gone and many of the forests now are endangered.
This is a serious issue, how do you think it got started?

Humans have altered about half the land on this earth.
What are some ways we have changed it?

The results and of human population growth have effects on animal’s environments everywhere.
